I thought i would change my background for ya'll seeing how it's not fall now!!! Hope you like it!

Its Fall!!

I love the fall! Apple Picking, Leaves changing colors, colder weather? well kinda. i can't wait to go to the pumpkin patch this year. This will be a new experience for us.

On a different note, our beach trip was sooo great! The weather was nice and we loved the Oceanlakes campground we stayed at. Especially having a golf cart to ride on everywhere. Ava and Alyssa did great in the car ride down and back. What a shocker we had when we were coming back and gas shot up to 4.79!!!! and we still haven't really recovered from that because gas is still 3.89 that is if you can find it anywhere!! I have never experienced anything like this before. Its getting harder and harder to live on the paycheck thats coming in, and before long P's plant will be moving to Georgia and then there will be no paycheck. at least a steady one. He is doing real estate so if anyone needs to buy or sale, I know a GREAT realtor!!!haha

Ava and i are still doing the learning to read book, and its going pretty good, she loves going to her K-3 class and is learning a lot of sign language.

catch up time

Long time no see....

We have been busy lately. Here is a little of what's been going on in our house:

AJ learned how to roll over




She found her feet and then learned she could put them in her mouth

AE started gymnastics/dance class

found out that my cat likes coffee...she would not stop bothering me it was like i put cat nip in it or something!!

AJ was dedicated to the Lord

And we got to see p's mom



AE also started k-3 and i have started teaching her how to read. i am using the book called "How to teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons". One of my friends used this book and her 4 yr old was reading on a 2nd grade level! my SIL also used this book for all her girls and they were reading at 3 and 4. so we're going to try it. i'll let you know how we are doing later.

well we are off to the beach hopefully the hurricanes will stay away!!!

AJ's 4 month check up

Well we had to go for the dreaded shots yesterday. they combined one, so now its 3 shots instead of 4. its still a lot on their little bodies i think. She weighed 14.9 and was 25 inches long. she is doing better today but we still had to give her Tylenol at 3pm for a fever.

P's mom came over yesterday and spent the night since he was off from work. we will have her here all next week. i'm glad she's here but last night was rough trying to sleep. AE gave up her twin bed for grandma so she had the option of sleeping on the air mattress or our bed... so what do you think she picked?? I had feet in my back and P had the her head allllll night! maybe i can convince her the air mattress is better? ..probably not.

AE likes to play with our camera and one day apparently she took it up to her room without me knowing. i found these pics on there a couple of days later and just about died laughing! it was a great surprise!

ok i stand corrected... so its spelled dulahin not what i wrote previous, but that is the way you say it. and the definition i got on the computer says : a hindu bride, or the way you would address your daughter in law. so i know that i'm not a hindu bride but i am a daughter in law so i will keep the name.

I finally did it!

Well i am taking the plunge into blogger world. I really enjoy reading other peoples blogs and so i thought i would put up one as well to let you know more about me and the things i experience daily with a 3 yr old AE, and a 4 month old AJ. If your wondering what up with that crazy name?.. its a hindi phrase used for a young wife of an older man. When P and i got engaged that was something that was noticed about us and therefore i would be called his doula hen.
P's mom is up from Trinadad and we will be having her here at our house in a week. Right now she is visiting P's other two brothers, one in Columbia and the other in greenville. i can't wait to see her again. it's been a year since we last saw her. In April of next year P's sister wil be getting married so we will travel to Trinadad. I can't wait!!
AJ started rolling over last Sat. she such a good girl. she is always smiling and so alert. Big sister AE is a great helper and seems to be adjusting well. She wants to hold her and try to make her laugh. It's so neat to see them interact with each other. AE will be starting dance/gymnastics on Monday. everyday she ask me "are we going to gymnastics today" except that she can't really say gymnastics right and i wouldn't even know how in the world to spell it. its funny though.
